I am moving my blog. Actually I'm bifurcating it into two blogs.

A blog about Kate and my family:

http://katechronicles.wordpress.com/

(I am going to make this subscribers-only)

And a blog about everything else (mainly about food and health since that is what I blather on about most of the time):

http://cheeseslave.wordpress.com/

This is mainly to separate my more personal/family entries from everything else.

Please add to your Bloglines or whatnot.

I will syndicate to Live Journal at some point -- when I get around to it. I hate to leave Live Journal but I need an easier way to upload photos and such -- so I'm moving over to WordPress.

Yo. Wanted to give you a heads up:

Organic Pastures decided to move their milk hub and switch the day that it's on. No idea why. I think it's retarded, but that's my opinion.

Here's the new Address:

Organic Pastures Milk Hub
11400 Ilex Ave
San Fernando, CA 91340

Instead of it being on Saturdays, it's now on a Wed afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. I just got news about this past weekend. It was the last Sat they will be at the old location.

Wow OK thank you so much for letting me know! That will make it hard for a lot of people, I guess -- since it's a weekday. I bet they lost that other location.

Let me know if you need me to pick it up for you if you have to be at work -- I can do it and you can pick it up on the weekend. I only go every other week though -- but I can keep it for you in my big freezer.

From what I got, they didn't lose it; they just didn't want to do it there anymore...I find it strange; if I go in late, they are almost always sold out. The rumor mill is churning about this abrupt change.

I will most certainly take you up on that offer. I think OP is going to lose a lot of customers because it's no way that anyone who works full time can stop during their lunch break and drive all the way to the valley. That's just ludicrous, but paying 4 -5 bucks extra at Whole Foods is even more insane.

Hi - sorry to post a random comment in your personal journal, but you recently posted an entry in a community I am in -- something about a farm market or festival of some sort in Michigan to benefit a man whose wife died in childbirth. It appears the entry was deleted before I could click to get the info, and I would be interested in knowing more -- so if you could just reply to this comment with the details of that event, I'd be greatly appreciative. Thanks:)

Hi!

No, don't be sorry!

I do not know why they deleted my post. I'm really shocked actually! (Someone said something about it being a scam???!!! [shakes head]) Maybe I didn't follow the posting rules right -- I don't know.

Anyhow, I'm trying to help him get the word out about the event so my friend Kelly and I blogged about it today. We came up with the contest idea to try to get more people to go -- and ARchie offered to give away 2 free tickets.

The festival is in honor of his wife Deidre Currie who he married last year. She died in Jan 08 giving birth to Baby Jack. It's a very sad story.

Anyhow, he is paying tribute to her next month with this festival. She was very passionate about nutrition, small farms, and gourmet healthy food!

It's Sept 13 in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Here's my blog post about it:

And my friend Kelly's blog:

http://www.kellythekitchenkop.com/2008/08/win-2-free-tickets-to-see-sally-fallon.html

Please let me know if you decide to go. We will be there!

And please if you can, spread the word!

Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for all the info, Ann Marie! I'm definitely going to make an effort to be there, it's only an hour from where I live and it sounds very interesting!

I can't imagine why they deleted it either, was it in the natural living community? (It was gone from my friends' page, literally, seconds after I glanced at it, so I'm not even sure where it was posted) It's totally on topic and I know there's at least a couple other Michiganders in that community. It's a shame they deleted it.

I've already e-mailed a couple of friends trying to get them to go. Thanks again for sharing the info:)

Hi, Megan!

I am going (already booked my flight from Los Angeles) so please email me if you are going. We are planning a lunch for all of our blogging friends!

If your friends decide to go, tell them to use your name in the REFERRAL box -- you could win the 2 free tickets.

It was Natural Living where I posted it. I'm sad that they wouldn't post it. I wrote to them apologizing for doing it wrong (with anything promotional, you are supposed to email the mods first before you post).

I apologized but they still said no. They said that they would not post it because (a) tickets were being sold and (b) it was not a national or international event.

Anyway, maybe it was fate that you happened to see it when you did!

NATO is taking over command of military operations in Libya from coalition forces, world media reported Sunday.

The UN Security Council imposed the no-fly zone over Libya on March 17, along with ordering "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from Muammar Gaddafi's attacks on rebel-held towns.

The 28 NATO ambassadors met on Sunday to decide on further military plans in Libya.

The United States transfers command for a no-fly zone over Libya to NATO, while coalition forces will continue to protect civilian population from attacks by Gaddafi forces.

The military operation in Libya, codenamed Odyssey Dawn, has been conducted so far jointly by 13 states, including the United States, Britain and France.

NATO members decided on Thursday to assume responsibility for the enforcement of a no-fly zone in Libya, but could not agree on taking full command of all military operations in the country.

Meanwhile, leaders of the 27 European Union states on Thursday issued a statement saying the EU stood ready to assist in building a new Libya "in cooperation with the United Nations, the Arab League, the African Union and others."
